
This nationally accredited course provides the skills and knowledge required to respond confidently in a range of emergency situations. It includes comprehensive training in both Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid, and is delivered in accordance with the latest Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Throughout this face-to-face course, you will learn how to:
- Respond to an unresponssive casualty
- Perform effective CPR
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Manage a range of common First Aid scenarios, such as bleeding, shock, burns, asthma, choking, and more
This course is ideal for anyone who may be required to provide an emergency first response — including workplace first aiders, volunteers, and members of the general community.
To achieve competency, students must successfully complete both a knowledge assessment and a practical assessment, which are conducted during the face-to-face session.
Under the guidance of a qualified trainer, you’ll participate in demonstrations, hands-on activities, and realistic scenarios to practise and demonstrate your skills. You’ll also receive feedback throughout the session to help you build confidence and competence.
